 In 2016, USA withdrew it's $472 million aid from Tanzania, thinking then President John Magufuli would get on his knees and beg,but he said this instead:


"We need to stand on our own. If you're a farmer,you need to farm hard, if you're a fisherman fish hard or if you're employed anywhere work hard so that Tanzania and Tanzanians can get rid of donor dependency"

The Gambia Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) is calling on people to report individuals involved in illegal fuel trade amid the rise in fire outbreaks.  The regulatory body’s call comes after a  fire incident near Petro Gas station in Brikama which led to destruction of properties in the vicinity. No casualty has been reported yet. “The Gambia Public Utilities Regulatory Authority implores on the public to report any individual involved in illegal fuel trade amidst the rise in fire outbreak resulting from illegal fuel vending. “The public is therefore cautioned to refrain from this illegal trade, especially in residential areas, because its consequences are fatal,” PURA said in a statement. “Anyone caught in this clandestinely illicit business will be dealt with in accordance with the law. “Similarly, PURA calls on the property owners to support the Authority in this crusade for the greater good of the public, by not renting out stalls for such busine...
